Is there a charge for the pick-up service?

We are pleased to provide free pick-up within the Shakopee, Savage, Prior Lake and Burnsville area. Outside of these areas there may be a charge depending on the distance as well as the number and type of items for pick-up. If you are outside of these 4 cities, please consider joining together with a number of friends or neighbors so we may do a group pick up and waive the pick up fee.

 

Are my sales reduced by coupons, promotions, etc that you are offering?

No! We consider all Bella Bambino promotions to be part of our marketing expense, not yours. All promotional discounts will be taken off the total bill, not by item. Please note however, that the 3 rd month an item is in our shop it will go to clearance pricing of 50% off.  This markdown does reduce your consignment payment as this is part of our ordinary business model.

 

What if my items do not sell?

All items are on consignment for a 90 days period.  The first 60 days will be at full price.  The last 30 days the items will be reduced to 50% off.  Consignors will have the last week of this clearance month to pick up any items they do not want donated. They can pick up Monday-Saturday during regular business hours.  Any items remaining after the end of the 90 day period/clearance period will be donated the following week..  We need to hold firm to this policy to keep our store organized and easy to shop!   See CONSIGNOR INFO section for clearance dates/pick up dates based on receipt date. 

 

When are you available if I prefer to drop off my consignment?

We are in the shop Mon-Wed from 9am-12 pm to accept/process consignment and prepare for the upcoming weekend. We welcome drop off consignment and the chance to meet you! Please call ahead to make sure we are not on a pick-up. 

 

When will I receive my inventory and sales reports?

We will send out an inventory report when we process your items.   As soon as your first item sells, you will receive the link and login information to be able to access our online sales system... This will show you your sales in real time.  Note, as soon as we cut a check to make payment on these sales, the items will be removed from the system. 

 

When and how much will I be paid?

Our consignors are paid 40% of the selling price of their merchandise. Checks (with balances over $10) will be cut and sent upon consignor request.  We have modified this policy to limit the $1.00 processing fee that was being incurred on smaller value checks.  Once the request is made via phone or e:mail (or in-store) the checks will be cut within 24 months and sent out. .  If the consignor chooses the store credit option, then the consignor rate will increase to 50% with no checks issued. 

 

What if I decide I don't want to consign an item that you already have?

You are always free to retrieve an item from the inventory. As a consignor the items belong to you at all times. Depending on quantity of items removed, Bella Bambino reserves the right to apply an early pull charge of $.50/item for any item pulled within the 90 day sales cycle.  This amount will be debited to the consignors account.  Preparing items for sale takes a great deal of time and is done with the assumption that they will be available for sale for 90 days. 

 

What if I decide I don't want my items to sell on clearance?

You are free to retrieve an item at any point during the 3 month sales cycle but depending on quantity of items removed, Bella Bambino reserves the right to apply an early pull charge of $.50/item for early retrieval. 

 

When do you accept seasonal items?

Due to limited storage, we will only accept seasonal items in-season. In general, seasonal items do not sell out of season. It is better for you to hold your barely worn snowsuit until September instead of trying to sell it in May. We would prefer to see you sell your seasonal items for full price in-season than half-price out of season.

 

How will I know if an item has sold?

As soon as your first item sells, you will receive a link with login information to be able to access our online sales system... This will show you your sales in real time.  Note, as soon as we cut a check to make payment on these sales, the items will be removed from this system. 

 

How should I prepare my items for consignment?

Please make sure all items are freshly laundered and have already been sorted for stains, holes, excessive wear and tear, etc. We do not require items to come on hangers, however, we are always looking for additional hangers so feel free to recycle with us.
